AUTUMN SPLENDOR IN WEST VIRGINIA

The 2007 WIN Scholarship Quilt, "AUTUMN SPLENDOR", is finally finished and ready for the raffle at the Saratota Picnic, Saturday March 3. The quilt is gorgeous. Many thanks to the following for making beautiful Autumn blocks for the quilt:
-Liz Custer Carder
-Carol VanHorn Dean
-Sarah Graham and the Fort New Salem Quilting Ladies
-Sue Selby Moats
-Mary Harbert Nophsker
-Elaine Zabeau Norteman
-Kitty Sager(Don)
-Mary Sue Clark Spahr

Autumn Splendor is 78 " by 78" long and fits as a topper on a king/queen-size or smaller bed. It also has a rod pocket on the back top so that it could be hung as a wall hanging in a space with high ceilings. The blocks are made of cotton fabrics with 100 % cotton batting as the filler and cotton fabric backing. It was quilted by Sue Moats using multicolor 100 % cotton thread.

A coordinating pillow (top shown above) made from one of Carol Dean's block accompanies the quilt.
